Summertime is when the sun is highest and when people buy sunglasses.  The reasons for buying shades are many and varied.  It may be as basic as protecting the eyes from the sun; to add to one’s collection; wishing to appear trendier and wanting the latest in the market; to match to one’s wardrobe; or, perhaps, just wanting one in every color.
